The project involved making a new SAQ Classique in St. Anne de Beaupre. Covering an area of 5500 ft2, the one-story building consists of a metal frame on conventional foundations.
Given the proximity of the site in relation to the St Lawrence River, the quick-setting concrete combined with the use of huge pumps had to be used when pouring foundations to keep the excavations dry long enough to allow the concrete to harden before being submerged during periods of high tides.
