The housing project Domaine du Parc Savard, which involved the construction of 130 apartments allocated to low-income households and people struggling with special needs, is a good example of alternative approaches to institutionalization. A nursery is also provided in one of three buildings.
With a total area of 168,261 ft2 ± and located in the Vanier area on a large lot behind the hospital of Christ-Roi, the project Domaine du Parc Savard is divided into three 4-storey buildings with steel frame on conventional foundations plus 55 parking spaces and a beautiful playground and outdoor relaxation.
This project was the winner ' Universal Access' Merits of Architecture of Quebec City, 1993 edition.
