New Police Station-Quebec City

The new police station will be located at the intersection of Autoroute Laurentienne and Boulevard Louis-XIV. It consists of a five-storey building of approximately 14,500 square meters (m2) made of concrete and will house the majority of the territory surveillance personnel, in addition to the various units which will now all be under one roof. It also has heated indoor parking on 2 levels totaling 269 spaces for police department vehicles. The development of the 60,000 m2 site is also part of the project. A total of 581 parking spaces for employees and 25 public spaces will be set up there. A new access is also integrated and will allow direct access to Jean-Talon Boulevard. This project, which represents a total investment of $98.5 million, will be delivered in the fall of 2023.

This beautiful location is seen from the surrounding highways. The eye catching main public entrance contributes to the dynamism of the public square and the boulevard. The architectural composition fragments the massive aspect of the long main volume, presenting an opening onto the city, the environment and the community. The ground floor where the public entrance is located is completely windowed and is located on the same level as the outdoor public square in order to facilitate access for all.
