Services EMS Engineering was retained to perform major repairs to the parking lot of La Chancelière on the rue du Roi in Quebec. This property consists of a tower housing of eleven stages in which an underground parking lot 70 000 square feet (two stages) was constructed.
The project was to rebuild the slab level "A" to complete the rehabilitation of the slab of the "B" level and the exit ramp parking. Improvements include, but are not limited to, removal of all components attached to the slabs and structure that may affect the performance of the work, the upgrading of all, mechanical electrical, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, of detection and communication.
Covering an area of 35,000 square feet, the structural slab level "A" was completely demolished and rebuilt using the glass fiber reinforcement (FRPV).
Note that this project is a world first because it is the first slab parking bidirectional reinforced composite fiberglass reinforcement concrete.
