La Malbaie Hospital Seismic Restoration

The study conducted as part of this project was to measure the degree of vulnerability of Charlevoix hospitals  to support a major earthquake likely to hit the area. The study quantified the vulnerability of the buildings and propose guiding concepts on different solutions and/or identify additional studies required to enhance the seismic defense thereof facing a seismic event important. It is important to note that the Charlevoix seismic zone is the worst in Canada. Following this study, the La Malbaie Hospital has been retrofited regarding earthquakes by the EMS team.
