Royal Battery is a former military installation located in the Petit Champlain along the river, specifically on Dalhousie Street. It was built in 1691 and restored in 1977 in a rather rudimentary. It was covered with gravel all over its surface, there was the 10 guns, only witnesses to the defensive role of the book as well as some trees and benches.
EMS services were retained to redesign and redefine the space to make it more enjoyable, aesthetic and functional, including interpretive activities. Our main duties included making:
• The drainage of part of the site suffered a significant accumulation of water during heavy rains.
• Replacement of wooden platforms beneath the guns.
• The pageant site including embankments and gabion sides cannons.
• The realization of a contemporary walkway linking the Royal Battery Place de Paris.
• The layout of the floor the entire site (adding plant and paved areas).
• The realization of the support furniture to interpretation and the implementation of various furniture (benches, trash cans, lighting ...)
