The project to enhance the Cartier-Roberval archaeological site involved the construction of several new infrastructures, including a belvedere inspired by a footbridge to offer a new view from the top of Cap Rouge, a tunnel beneath CN's infrastructure showcasing the heritage and archaeological site, a service building, lighting, road infrastructure, and parking to facilitate public access to the site. The site holds immense value as it is believed to be the first location of a French colony under Jacques-Cartier. This project is highly sensitive to the landscape, with each intervention carefully thought out, reflected upon, and planned. The project stands as a source of pride for the current Quebec government.
